New Route from London Gatwick to Medina Announced
Wizz Air is set to make history as the first airline to operate direct flights from London Gatwick (LGW) to Medina (MED). This new route, launching on August 1, 2025, will be operated using the Airbus A321XLR, offering enhanced comfort and fuel efficiency.
The airline expects to facilitate over 174,000 seats annually, significantly improving accessibility to one of Saudi Arabia’s most important cultural and religious hubs.
Strengthening UK-Saudi Arabia Connectivity
As part of its expanding presence in the Middle East, Wizz Air’s direct route to Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz International Airport (MED) in Medina will support:
